FALLS COUNTY 40 AND 8

Grand Wreck Scheduled in Marlin
With Number of Other Features
Slated.

       The program for the meeting in Marlin Saturday afternoon and night of La Societe des 40 Hommes et 8 Chevaux Locale No. 1085 has been announced.
       World war veterans from Rosebud and Lott are coming for the event, while drum and bugle corps from Waco and Temple are expected.  Affiliation with the American Legion is a requirment for membership in the 40 and 8, the Falls county locale alternating its meetings in Rosebud, Lott and Marlin where legion posts are located.
       Features of the Saturday session in Marlin, called for the purpose of initiattng (sic) a number of goofs into the mysteries of the organization are:

2 p.m. Registration of all Voyageurs and Legionnaires at Hilton hotel, registration fee $1.25
6 p.m.  Registration of Goofs at registration booth, Goof
registration in charge of Voyageur O. A. Edwards.
7:45 p.m. Medical examination.
8:15 p.m. Grande Parade.
9:00 p.m. Grande Wreck at Marlin Odd Fellows hall.
11:15 p.m. Banquet for all Voyagers and Legionaires at
Hilton hotel.

         All American Legion members are invited to register, being eligible for all features including the banquet, except the grand wreck.
